The negative effects created loosely reference that of an x-ray that reveals hidden elements of a subject. The positive elements highlighting the sculptural and delicate nature of the flowers.
This image received the Highest-Scoring Black & White Print Award at New Zealandâs Iris Professional Photography Awards.

Artist Bio
Kaye Davis is a multiple Award winning Photographer based in the beautiful City of Tauranga. She revels in taking an interpretive and illustrative approach to her work, choosing the digital camera & digital darkroom (computer) as her tools of choice.
Kaye elegantly captures the beauty of Nature, through her contemporary Landscape, Abstract, and Illustrative fine art photography. Her work is influenced and inspired by many of the early botanical photographers.
Formally educated, with a Master of Computer Graphic Design (Photography), Kaye is also an internationally recognised photographer, educator, national and international judge, and an Accredited Member of the New Zealand Institute of Professional Photography.
An NZIPP Grand Master of Photography, Master of Photography II (from the Australian Institute of Professional Photography), 2013 NZ Professional Photographer of the Year, and winner of the NZ Creative Photographer of the Year four times.
