Artist Bio
Christchurch-based artist Gabriella Voogt graduated from Massey University, Wellington in 2012 with a BA in Visual Communication Design. She draws her inspiration from Medieval Art and natural landscapes with her abstract paintings often reflecting her love of classical architecture, gardens, and patterns.
Working in small-scale, Gabriella paints from memory using a palette of bold colours, brush strokes and mark-making techniques. Predominantly painting in acrylic on canvas, Gabriella also uses a mix of pastels, wax crayons, and pencils to enhance the texture and depth of her work.
